when I find something I like, I tend to stick to it. my everyday go to makeup look hasn't changed for more than a year - I like my foundation medium coverage, lips nude and eyes smoky. and ever since I invested into some makeup staples, my life has become way easier than it was before.

real techniques core collection brushes

I'm probably the last person to jump on the RT brushes bandwagon but better late than never, right? the

Real Techniques core collection kit

is an all-round great set of brushes but my absolute favourite is the contour brush. what a life-changing brush! the buffing brush is amazing as well and I use both of them daily.

lush bubblegum lip scrub mac myth lipstick

I'm a big fan of a nude lip and my shade of choice is

Mac Myth

. just like other nude lipsticks, it's a bit drying and the staying power isn't that amazing but it's the best nude lipstick I've found so far. to prepare my lips I use the

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub

. although a bit pricey, it's way better than the lip scrubs I used to make at home.

urban decay naked basics eyeshadow palette

Urban Decay Naked Basics eyeshadow palette

is my new baby. the eyeshadows are incredible quality, nicely pigmented and doesn't crease throughout the day. as you can see in the photo, my favourite shades are Foxy and Faint. this is my first Urban Decay purchase and I have a feeling it won't be the last.

happy new year everyone ! it feels strange to say goodbye to 2014 as it was such a wonderful year for me (not counting my terrible time at uni and parting from my high school friends). I got to travel around Europe with my favourite people and experience many wonderful things, so here is a small compilation of all the travels I've done in 2014.

PARIS / / this was my third trip to Paris as I can't stop coming back - it's such a wonderful city. the Parisian vibe is truly amazing and hopefully the pictures do it some justice.

AMSTERDAM / / but before Paris, me and my best friend went to Amsterdam. I definitely want to go back next summer because I fell in love with Amsterdam and its atmosphere - very laid back but also kind of wild if you want it to be. we rented bikes for the day and just explored the city, the countless canals and beautiful houses are sights to be seen.
