back in March I went on a little holiday trip to Belgium. even though I had know I would be going to Brussels at the end of March for a while, the whole trip was a very last minute thing and we had actually considered cancelling the whole thing (because of the fact that the Brussels attacks happened only a couple a days before we were meant to go on our trip). but in the end, I am so glad we went through with it because we had an amazing time and Belgium in general was more than lovely. so without further ado, here is a small photo diary of my trip.
obviously one of the main points of interest in Brussels is the Grand Place (Grote Markt). it is such a gorgeous square and the architecture is super beautiful. the centre of Brussels is actually quite small so everything is within a walkable distance from the Grand Place. you could spend hours just walking around.
as I mentioned before, the architecture in Brussels is absolutely stunning. Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert in the above photo is a wonderful example of that.
we also decided to visit Antwerp as it's such a short train ride away from Brussels. I got the feeling that it's a cool and laid-back city with a calm vibe to it, the old town centre was super beautiful and the city has got some really nice art galleries. Antwerp is a little bit of everything and I absolutely loved it!
